Environmental Protection Agency
40 CFR Part 745 Lead;
Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program
Here is a link to the actual ruling including the amendments and preamble.
Also to note that we have completed our training on "Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting"
We have received our individual "Certified Renovator" certificates... and Mitre is waiting on the EPA to send us our "Firm Certification Certificate"
That's what I get for dragging my feet on this... now they are backlogged and will probably take the full 90 days to respond. As soon as Mitre gets the certificate, I will get it posted.

Here is a short video showing some of the procedures to be followed working under the RRP rules

As part of a lawsuit settlement, EPA agreed to propose several revisions to the 2008 Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program (RRP) rule that established accreditation, training, certification, and recordkeeping requirements as well as work practice standards on persons performing renovations for compensation in most pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities.

You may be potentially affected by this action if you perform renovations of target housing or child-occupied facilities for compensation or dust sampling. ``Target housing'' is defined in section 401 of TSCA as any housing constructed prior to 1978, except housing for the elderly or persons with disabilities (unless any child under age 6 resides or is expected to reside in such housing) or any 0-bedroom dwelling.
