This small project featured a double sided built-in bookcase acting as a room divider between a family room and kitchen nook area.
Some design details include, arched valances, cabinet beading, solid 3/4" birch plywood casework, solid poplar wood stile and rail facings, solid oak counter-top with ogee profile edgings. The counter-top had a beautiful sprayed lacquered finish, and the cabinetry was painted in a semi-gloss latex. The entire built-in cabinet was then trimmed out in a matching baseboard and shoe molding.

KITCHEN SIDE VIEW PICTURE
Built-In bookcase with solid 3/4" cabinet grade birch plywood casework with poplar wood facings. Cabinetry has a nice lacquered oak counter.INSTALLATION PICTURE
We just finished the installation of the built-in bookcase unit, the oak counter is at the finishers getting stained and lacquered, and the painters are on schedule for the next day.
Unfortunately I failed to take any before pictures. What was there, was a standard 4" wide 36" tall dry-walled partition capped with a piece of painted mdf.
