On these pages we would like to highlight a few of the built-ins and bookcases we have done over the years. I just wish I had taken more pictures, as there have been a whole lot of them that I would like to be able to show off.
Built-ins can be utilized in every single room in your home. The most common room would have to be the family room surrounding the fireplace, then the home office, followed by the dining room and lastly play rooms, mud rooms, laundry rooms and recreation rooms. Built-In cabinetry can be fabricated in so many design styles, with so many different architectural features, wood species and finishes, they can be made to fit beautifully in any room in your home.
Although I would like nothing better than to build fancy cherry or mahogany built-ins with design features that include, fluted pilasters, arched valances and crown build-ups, most clients opt to go for the basic paint grade built-in units with straight valances and plain stiles. We find that most people want a set of built-ins to be both functional and affordable.

Oak built-ins with fluted stiles,rosettes,arched valences, with matching mantel & inset mirror frame that conceals hidden shelving behind fireplace.
Another set of built-ins with oak casework & facings. Fluted stiles, arches, adjustable shelves. We also fabricated this mantel which features fluted pilasters and a raised panel breastplate & dentil crown.
Office built-ins in solid oak with file cabinet drawers, fluted pilasters and a matching desk. All topped off in granite counters. We also paneled all the walls in a solid oak wainscoting with recessed flat panels.

Built-ins for a family room with arched valances, fluted stiles, inset raised panel doors, flush toe kick design, fully adjustable shelving, all topped off with a one piece crown moulding. We also fabricated the mantel to cover the old brick corbels, and added a recessed panel above to help tie in both built-ins.
Most of the cabinetry we design and build includes the following specifications & features: The cabinetry's casework is usually a 3/4" maple veneer plywood, this is also used for the cabinets counter tops, and adjustable shelves. The built-in cabinets face frames for paint grade is a solid poplar wood. Our standard stile design is a 2" wide poplar with a cabinet bead accent. Optional stile designs can be fluted pilasters with rosettes & plinths or the stiles can get recessed panels. All the doors on our paint grade built-in cabinets are solid maple construction with concealed Blum brand soft close hinges. The standard cabinet door is overlay style... optional to be inset doors. The upper bookcase units standard is a straight valance with cabinet bead accents. They can also be arched, they can get applied panels, inset panels, raised panels, etc. Almost all exposed cabinet outside panels get a recessed flat panel treatment... this can also be raised panels.
